I saw a pendant like this in the Pottery Barn catalog, but couldn't justify spending $300 for it. This one looks very similar and gives that same look, but at a fraction of the price! I hung it above my kitchen table. To me, it's a little smaller than I like for a foyer light, so I have one that looks like this but is bigger for my foyer. I like a grander statement in the foyer. But this is great for above a table, in my opinion... or for those who don't want a big pendant in the foyer.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought two of these foyer lights for my kitchen. One is swagged over my kitchen table and the other over the working area and peninsula (swagged, but raised a little higher so you can easily walk under it). They look great! Assembly was easy and they put off a lot of light. I was a little surprised at how thin the glass is, but then again I guess that's how they can price it so well. Very satisfied overall.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
