why spend sooo much for a flush ring pull?

Why did I spend over 40 bucks for a flush ring pull when larger steel ones are available at the local hardware store?

Your best foot forward, that's why. This pull ring is in the middle of the floor - very visable.
I spent the money once and got the look I wanted and will not have to lament being too cheap to get the right peice of hardware for the job at hand.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The ring is of the kind of superb quality one expects from Baldwin. For beauty and sturdy construction you can't go wrong. It makes access to a storage room off the hall very special.

BUT be aware that the item comes with no directions for installation, so you must know what you're doing. And if you DO know what you're doing, you must be very careful in cutting (chiseling) your flush recess. The plate allows for very little cover (16th inch) overlapping the larger recess needed for accommodating the "innards". Just 1/8" more all around would make all the difference.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Our contractor made these awesome freestanding French Doors in Knotty Pine. I needed a door pull that could be mounted flush and compliment these beautiful doors. These Flush Ring Pulls were exactly what we needed, they are beautiful, high quality pulls. Don't let the cost deter you..they are well worth every penny!
